My approach
The NeuroRecovery Method™
I believe meaningful change happens when the mind and nervous system rediscover their natural state of connection, before fear, stress and life's experiences taught us to survive rather than truly live day to day.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, recovering from illness, rebuilding confidence, or performing in high-pressure environments, lasting transformation begins by understanding how your brain creates habits, emotions and automatic responses and learning how to reshape them.
My work combines Clinical Hypnotherapy with neuroscience, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and subconscious conditioning to help clients move beyond survival and towards resilience, clarity and purpose.
A key part of my approach focuses on procedural learning, the brain's remarkable ability to create automatic patterns through repetition and experience. Many of our fears, emotional reactions and habits become procedural over time, operating beneath conscious awareness. The same neuroplasticity that created these patterns can also be used to build calmer responses, healthier behaviours and greater emotional resilience.
I also believe recovery extends beyond the therapy room. Nature plays an important role in helping regulate the nervous system, restore attention and create the conditions for healing. Wherever appropriate, I encourage practical strategies that reconnect clients with movement, fresh air, natural environments and mindful presence alongside subconscious work, recognising the powerful relationship between brain, body and environment.
My clinical experience has taken me from supporting oncology patients through collaborations with Mayo Clinic specialists in Florida and working with women navigating cancer across the UAE and the Isle of Man, to helping individuals overcome anxiety, trauma, grief and life transitions.
Alongside my clinical practice, I have worked behind the scenes within demanding performance environments, including major productions such as F1: The Movie, Mission: Impossible in Abu Dhabi, the TT Movie filmed on the Isle of Man, and ITV's This Morning. These experiences have given me first-hand insight into the cognitive, emotional and physical demands placed upon performers and professionals working under constant pressure, where calm thinking, adaptability and procedural confidence become essential.
Whether you're overcoming anxiety, navigating cancer, preparing for a demanding performance, or simply wanting to feel more like yourself again, my goal is to help you create lasting change by rewiring the subconscious patterns that no longer serve you and replacing them with resilience, confidence and freedom.
“WE SUFFER MORE IN OUR IMAGINATION THAN WE DO IN REALITY”
SENECA
I met Tanya about a year after I completed chemotherapy. I was 31 when I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Before the diagnosis, I was the picture of health. I lost my left breast to a mastectomy in January 2022.
Tanya changed my life. I was so unhappy with my body, and I had such a fear of reoccurrence. Tanya helped me accept my post-cancer body and got rid of the fear. I finally felt like I could just live without fear of judgement, without fear of cancer, and just be me.
Recently, I found out I was pregnant, which is a total miracle as I was told my reproductive system did not survive the chemo and radiation. When we dated the pregnancy to work out how far along I was, it lined up to be exactly after I had my session with Tanya and started listening to my recording!
I feel so blessed to have met her, and I would recommend Tanya over and over again to anyone who is dealing with cancer — patient, caregiver, or spouse. Cancer is a hard road. Recovering after cancer is just as tough, and people like Tanya make it so much easier.
